In may of 2006 I reported the swindler Mohamed Awad to to the police for fraud/ swindling/ conning whatever you would like to call it. during the first months after reporting, I was told that the best man to see as he has more power than the Luxor district court , was then doctor of islamic studies at Al-Azhar mosque Ahmed Mohamed el-Tayeb أحمد محمد الطيب‎; is the current imam of Al-ahzar, He was appointed by the Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak following the death of Muhamed Sayyid Tantwani in 2010.

in 2010 I decided to go back to see the Sheik this time I went to his office in Cairo where he promised I would get my money back, but he left it in the hands of his corrupt brother mohamed el-tyeb,. I had one small payment to make it look good for the tourist industry, and to stop my story on the blogs, making it bad for Islam I was told, an infidel gets money from a swindle etc,payments where supposed to be every 6 months One year went by by this time there was a revolution and I only had the initial payment of £2500 and the country was taken over by the military,I did not know at the time what game the military where playing but the talk in Luxor was that people who had been swindled i.e. 5000 had been swindled out of their homes to make way for the digging of the avenue of the sphinx 3 kilometre from Luxor temple to Karnak temple. I did a piece on one of the plots of land that was taken this housed 62 families , then Iwas told to try and get my money back through the army. for 3 months I tried this avenue the army gave me lots of promises, then when it came to them confronting the sheikh the door was closed, then on hearing there was a meeting in the council offices with 40 people who thought they were going to get the land and compensation . I walked through the army cordon with the pretence of going to see my new friend ahmed gamal the new head of luxor council, in the office I sat amongst the 40 natives then 4 of these males were taken away led by the general, two hours later we had a visit from the head of luxor office with the excuse that luxor has no money for paying I just got up and left the room in another office The guvorners office with the door ajar I saw the general and the 4 men in conference, and two men sitting for what seemed a chance to see the general, so I went in sat down and to my horror I found these four men to be the Muslim brotherhood of Luxor, i.e. members who had their land and homes destroyed by the regime under the last guvorner DR Samir Faraq, they where handed cheques plus papers to say they owned the land, then I got up and asked the General had he sorted my problem with the swindlers, at that and after 3 months of time wasting, I was told they cannot do anything, what they should have said was we cannot go against the head of Islam it will make it look bad,

Ahmed el-Tayeb, the grand sheik of Cairo’s Al-Azhar institution, was quoted by German weekly Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung’s Sunday edition as saying that “mercy should prevail over justice” given Mubarak’s achievements and his poor health.
Representatives of Al-Azhar, the pre-eminent theological institute of Sunni Islam, in Cairo could not be reached to confirm the comments.
“One should consider that Mubarak has done a lot for Egypt over a long time. He’s an old and sick man. Mercy should prevail over justice,” he was quoted as saying.
The weekly, which said it interviewed el-Tayeb in Egypt’s capital, further quoted him as saying that toppling Mubarak was an expression of the people’s desire for change “which Al-Azhar supports.”
El-Tayeb also voiced concern in light of the recent clashes between Copts and Muslims in Cairo, saying those were directed “from interested groups outside” the country, accusing “the West of seeking to foment chaos in Egypt.”
“Muslims and Christians have lived peacefully together since Islam’s introduction 1,400 years ago,” the newspaper quoted him as saying.

A senior Egyptian general admits that “virginity checks” were performed on women arrested at a demonstration this spring, the first such admission after previous denials by military authorities.
The allegations arose in an Amnesty International report, published weeks after the March 9 protest. It claimed female demonstrators were beaten, given electric shocks, strip-searched, threatened with prostitution charges and forced to submit to virginity checks.
At that time, Maj. Amr Imam said 17 women had been arrested but denied allegations of torture or “virginity tests.”
But now a senior general who asked not to be identified said the virginity tests were conducted and defended the practice.

The general said the virginity checks were done so that the women wouldn’t later claim they had been raped by Egyptian authorities.
“We didn’t want them to say we had sexually assaulted or raped them, so we wanted to prove that they weren’t virgins in the first place,” the general said. “None of them were (virgins).”
This demonstration occurred nearly a month after Egypt’s longtime President Hosni Mubarak stepped down amid a wave of popular and mostly peaceful unrest aimed at his ouster and the institution of democratic reforms.
Afterward, Egypt’s military — which had largely stayed on the sidelines of the revolution — officially took control of the nation’s political apparatus as well, until an agreed-upon constitution and elections.
Mubarak denies ordering shootings
The March 9 protest occurred in Tahrir Square, which became famous over 18 historic and sometimes bloody days and nights of protests that led to Mubarak’s resignation.
But unlike in those previous demonstrations, the Egyptian military targeted the protesters. Soldiers dragged dozens of demonstrators from the square and through the gates of the landmark Egyptian Museum.
Salwa Hosseini, a 20-year-old hairdresser and one of the women named in the Amnesty report, described to CNN how uniformed soldiers tied her up on the museum’s grounds, forced her to the ground and slapped her, then shocked her with a stun gun while calling her a prostitute.
“They wanted to teach us a lesson,” Hosseini said soon after the Amnesty report came out. “They wanted to make us feel that we do not have dignity.”
The treatment got worse, Hosseini said, when she and the 16 other female prisoners were taken to a military detention center in Heikstep.
There, she said, she and several of other female detainees were subjected to a “virginity test.”
“We did not agree for a male doctor to perform the test,” she said. But Hosseini said her captors forced her to comply by threatening her with more stun-gun shocks.
“I was going through a nervous breakdown at that moment,” she recalled. “There was no one standing during the test, except for a woman and the male doctor. But several soldiers were standing behind us watching the backside of the bed. I think they had them standing there as witnesses.”
The senior Egyptian general said the 149 people detained after the March 9 protest were subsequently tried in military courts, and most have been sentenced to a year in prison.
Authorities later revoked those sentences “when we discovered that some of the detainees had university degrees, so we decided to give them a second chance,” he said.
The senior general reaffirmed that the military council was determined to make Egypt’s democratic transition a success.
“The date for handover to a civil government can’t come soon enough for the ruling military council,” he said. “The army can’t wait to return to its barracks and do what it does best practice and protect the back passages on the borders

Everyone will agree history was made in Tahrir Square and Egypt's politics took a great step forward with the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak. But have Egypt's economics taken a big step backwards?

One of the generals running the country presented a picture of his country's economy that made me think, "What in the World?"

He says foreign direct investment is now down to zero. Egypt's foreign reserves are fast getting depleted. Then there's the tourism industry, which employs 2 million people but is sitting idle with the world continuing to shun the Pyramids of Giza and cruises down the Nile.

That's $1 billion of lost revenue every month. Growth has crawled to a standstill.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of workers, emboldened with a new sense of freedom, are staging strikes to demand better pay. Confronting them would mean work stoppages. Appeasing them will cost money, and the state's coffers aren't exactly overflowing.

Then there's oil. The revolutions of the Middle East has sparked a cycle of pain in the crude markets. Look at three countries that have been hit hardest by people power movements - Egypt, Tunisia, Syria. They are all oil importers. Egypt then will go from growth in 2010 to shrinking GDPs this year.

Now, look at their neighbors who managed to stave off the wave of protests through a mix of bribery and appeasement - Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. They're all net oil exporters with vast cash reserves.

That's why the dichotomy is actually getting worse, because oil importers need to spend more to buy the same amount of gas. Also, to keep political support at home, they need to increase subsidies on things like food - potatoes, carrots - because everything costs more, thanks to oil-driven inflation here.

And then there's this. Unlike previous years, the gulf countries, the oil-rich countries, actually want oil prices to be priced higher because they need the cash. They need to support their own spending plans for new cities and to more payouts to suppress dissent. For the first time in history, oil is averaging nearly $100 a barrel for more than a year. Even the Saudis need that cash.

If Egypt's economy doesn't stabilize soon, the IMF will soon come knocking on its door. And what will it demand? Economic reform to promote growth, of course, which means what? A devaluation of Egypt's currency, possibly? The reduction of subsidies? The privatization of industries? Anything to get the fiscal house in order and generate new economic growth.

JUDGE SHADDY WAS THE ONLY HONEST ONE ( HONEST AS HE WAS NOT A GOOD LIAR) , ON THE FIRST HEARING I WALKED IN HIS ROOM I ASKED IF HE ENJOYED THE MEAL IN MY HOME, NEVER BEEN TO YOUR HOTEL HE SAID, HE ALSO TOLD MY NEW LAWYER , I do not like that man, AND FROM THAT DAY THEY THE JUDGES SET OUT TO DISCRIMINATE ME,
I MADE A COMPLAINT TO THE HEAD OF DISTRICT JUDGES HASSAN GAMAL, HE TOLD ME I WAS A LIAR WHEN I MADE A VERBAL DATE MISTAKE SAID 2005 INSTEAD OF 2006.
THEY HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO DROP THE ARSON CASE AGAINST ME AND MY WIFE, MOHAMED AWAD HAD SAID TWO MANY LIES IN HIS STATEMENT, ONE BEING HE WAS IN lUXOR POLICE STATION ON THE EAST BANK, THE NEXT PAGE OF HIS STATEMENT SAYS HE SAW MY WIFE MAKE A FIRE. THIS GUY CAN SEE THROUGH TREES AND BUILDINGS FROM 4 MILES AWAY?? THERE WAS SEVERAL CONFLICTING ITEMS IN HIS AND HIS BROTHERS STATEMENTS, THE BROTHER WAS THE ONLY OTHER PERSON IN THE HOTEL THAT NIGHT, BUT NO PROSECUTION WAS MADE ON ADVICE FROM THE TOURIST POLICE,
MY CASE WAS MADE VERY COMPLICATED, THESE JUST MEN IN THIS LUXOR COURT, JUST TURNED ALL THE CASES AS IF I WAS THE BAD ONE 3 ASSAULTS WHERE TURNED AGAINST ME 2 OF WHICH I HAD A CUSTODIAL SENTENCE, THE CASE OF THE ATTACK ON MY WIFE, THE ATTACKER GOT ONE MONTH IN JAIL I FOR PROTECTING HER GOT TWO WEEKS, THEY SAID I HIT THE ATTACKER IN THE TESTICLES, SEEMS THAT IS NOT ALLOWED IN ISLAMIC LAW, I DID NOT KNOW A MUSLIMS BOLLOCKS WAS HIDDEN ON HIS CHIN UNDER HIS BEARD,

Egypt sentences policeman to die for protest deaths

CAIRO May 22 (Reuters) – An Egyptian criminal court sentenced a police officer to death in absentia on Sunday for killing protesters during demonstrations that ousted President Hosni Mubarak, a judicial source said on Sunday. The source said Mohamed Ibrahim Abdel-Monem was convicted of killing 20 protesters on Jan. 28, one of the most violent days of the 18-day uprising that unseated Mubarak on Feb. 11. The court referred the case to the Grand Mufti, Egypt’s religious authority who must approve all death sentences.
The sentence against Abdel-Monem, who has evaded capture, is scheduled to be confirmed on June 26 after the Mufti’s approval. (Writing by Sarah Mikhail)

BERLIN – Egypt’s top Sunni Muslim cleric says the country’s former president Hosni Mubarak should be granted mercy instead of facing prosecution, a German newspaper reported Saturday.
Ahmed el-Tayeb, the grand sheik of Cairo’s Al-Azhar institution, was quoted by German weekly Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung’s Sunday edition as saying that “mercy should prevail over justice” given Mubarak’s achievements and his poor health.
Representatives of Al-Azhar, the pre-eminent theological institute of Sunni Islam, in Cairo could not be reached to confirm the comments.
“One should consider that Mubarak has done a lot for Egypt over a long time. He’s an old and sick man. Mercy should prevail over justice,” he was quoted as saying.
The weekly, which said it interviewed el-Tayeb in Egypt’s capital, further quoted him as saying that toppling Mubarak was an expression of the people’s desire for change “which Al-Azhar supports.”
El-Tayeb also voiced concern in light of the recent clashes between Copts and Muslims in Cairo, saying those were directed “from interested groups outside” the country, accusing “the West of seeking to foment chaos in Egypt.”
“Muslims and Christians have lived peacefully together since Islam’s introduction 1,400 years ago,” the newspaper quoted him as saying.
This critical situation in the country in the wake of Mubarak’s demise, he was further quoted as saying, “could force the military to remain in power.”
The French-educated el-Tayeb was appointed to his post last year by Mubarak. He had been a member of Mubarak’s ruling party but left it after public criticism that the head of Al-Azhar shouldn’t also be in politics.
During the 18-day uprising that ousted Mubarak, el-Tayeb condemned the sit-in in Tahrir square after Mubarak promised concessions. He said the continued protests were not religiously condoned.
He is considered a moderate cleric, is an expert in Islamic philosophy and issues of faith, and has criticized hardline Islamists.
The 82-year-old Mubarak has been held in custody since last month on charges that include misuse of power and ordering attacks against protesters in the 18-day uprising that drove him from power in February.
His 70-year-old wife, Suzanne, was released this week after she relinquished assets and property valued at some $4 million, a move aimed at settling corruption allegations against her, though it was unclear whether she might still face trial.
Bringing Mubarak to trial has become a rallying point for protesters, who turned out in Tahrir Square by the hundreds Friday to express their frustration at the failure by the military council, which currently rules the country, to bring about more democratic change.

CAIRO – An Egyptian judge on Saturday postponed the trial of the country’s former interior minister and four of his top aides in the deadly shooting of protesters after chaos broke out in the courtroom, with families of the victims shouting “Butcher! Butcher!” at the defendants.
Habib el-Adly is the highest-ranking former regime official to be brought to trial so far in the killings of 846 protesters and the injury of thousands of others during the uprising that forced ex-president Hosni Mubarak to step down on Feb. 11. If convicted, el-Adly could face the death penalty.
Outside the heavily guarded courtroom north of Cairo, families of the victims held up pictures of their dead relatives and posters calling for the death penalty. They pushed down security barricades in their rush to enter the courtroom. Once inside, the families shouted “Butcher!” at el-Adly.
The chaos prompted the judge to postpone the trial to June 26. Plaintiffs’ lawyers presented a request to change the judge because of what they said was his friendship with el-Adly.
El-Adly served as Mubarak’s interior minister for 13 years, a time during which his 500,000-strong security forces were blamed for some of the worst human rights violations Egypt had seen in decades. Anger over police brutality, particularly by members of the notorious state security agency, was a main motive for the uprising.
Earlier, El-Adly was convicted of money laundering and corruption charges and sentenced to 12 years in prison and fined about $2.5 million. He also faces a third trial on corruption charges.

corruption was the order of the day pre 25.1.2011.. and its getting to look like its not going to go away. all they are doing is looking for easy targets to blame all the atrocities on , scapegoats , those who had a firm belief the regime was her to stay, judges most who were put in their seats by rich parents, as one blogger said in 2007, and got himself put in jail. police officers have just been moved around like piles of rubbish from one district to another. it also seems their little black books have been made to do a disappearing act,
lots of criminal files have vanished into thin air, so how are those law abiding justice seeking men going to get Justice done in this country where the old regime still are in command. its OK moving the head and getting it to talk, they should have kept it on the body, as that’s where all the injustice lays.
Luxor District for instance only 2 men have been arrested on corruption charges Dr Samir Faraq and his secretary, it seems the army are quite happy the way things are going here, they do not want to open any more Pandora boxes for fear of reprisals from the Muslim community, last Sunday i saw and heard with my own eyes and ears how things work here in the council chambers, twenty or so locals who had grievances over land etc, where given a lecture by one of luxor main speakers as to how this the local council has no money to pay them, one by one all these people who came in with smiling faces . i watched as frowns took over some threw their papers down in disgust and left the meeting,then on the other end of the table was Brigadier |Mohamed and 4 Muslim guys, this little group of people moved into another office when the arguments started to fly from the mouths of the downcast , me i had no idea why I was taken in this room, only that I thought the Brigadier had some good news for me after 15 days of his lies, not even on this day did the brigadier have anything to say ,

(CNN) — At least 840 people were killed and more than 6,000 injured during the Egyptian revolution earlier this year as then-President Hosni Mubarak clung to power through violence and intimidation, Amnesty International said in a report Thursday.
Though protesters ultimately ousted Mubarak, Egyptian leaders have a lot of work to do to compensate victims’ families and restore citizens’ faith in the government, the report said.
“The Egyptian authorities have much to do to rebuild trust in public institutions, which have been seen as tools of repression and obstacles to justice,” the report said.
“They must start by overhauling laws that allowed violations to happen and take steps to guarantee that such abuses will not be repeated.”
Egyptian government officials declined CNN’s request for comment about the report.
Amnesty International said it sent a team to Egypt, which spent more than two months conducting interviews for the 120-page report.

Complaints about corruption, low wages and rigged elections sparked protesters to hit the streets of Cairo in late January.
In just 18 days, protesters were able to end Mubarak’s 30-year rule.
But despite his ouster, many are still suffering, the report said.
“Many hundreds of people who suffered grievous abuses during this period are still waiting to receive justice for what happened to them,” Amnesty International said.
The organization said it found “damning” evidence that Egyptian security forces used excessive force to disperse protesters.
Many died from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. One field hospital told Amnesty International that it documented 300 cases of people losing sight because of shotgun wounds to their eyes.
There were numerous cases of torture of protesters who were detained, according to the report. These cases included beatings with sticks or whips, electric shocks and threats of rape.
At least 189 prisoners died during the protests, the group said, calling for an investigation.
Egyptian authorities have detained Mubarak and his two sons in connection with the deaths of protesters.
Former Interior Minister Habib El Adly was handed a 12-year prison sentence for corruption and he will face a separate trial Saturday for his alleged role in the killings. And prosecutors are continuing to investigate other high-ranking members of the deposed government.
But Amnesty said more should be done.
“Authorities’ response to victims must go much further than this,” the group said. “That means giving them the truth about what happened, providing them with appropriate reparation and making sure that all those responsible are brought to justice.”
Mohamed Lofty, an Egypt researcher with Amnesty International, said the organization was trying to get the truth out.
“We have found that abuses and violations of human rights has continued in a very bad manner even after Mubarak left,” Lofty said Thursday. “It is very important to reveal the truth about what happened.”

first part of this story is what happened yesterday 17 May.
this is a ca ca.(lump of shit) not just a ca ca but a policemans ca ca. here on the lower path of the promenade where tourists have to clamber on board their once in a lifetime Nile cruise boats there are some gardens with some shrubs flowers a few birds and wild life . you can see these on my blog myegyptblog all very nice you may say, and what a nice place to spend ones days of retirement. but while walking along on these hot days one gets this wonderful aroma of human ca ca , (wonderful for the flies that is)
This day I was here on the walk for a reason. not sure if its of interest to anyone , my story on being swindled is on this blog, its sure not of any interest to anyone here in egypt including my embassy,

I had just been in the Council office for 3 hours after 3 months of waiting and promises on someone to solve my problems, 18 days ago I got to see the new Guvorner of luxor, who gave my problem to the army Brigadier Mohamed while in the same chamber Ie the guvs office, brigadier said he was going to see the Sheikh Mohamed Tyeb. that evening and would phone me at 9.00 the next day with the outcome. my tale of woe is very complicated, and seems much to complicated for the simple minds of people who shoot guns for a living, my cases where taken out of the criminal court here in Luxor due to the massif corruption with Judges police and lawyers. on a promise the Sheihk would put and end to my problems.
no need to keep going over my story as it all on the blogs, so here i was on the lower path of the prom feeling very dissatisfied with what seems another corrupt army officer, who after three months tells me to go see my embassy consular Ehab Gaddis who has a consulate here in Luxor, and these are the people who cannot even be bothered to answer my pleas for help.

like a good boy I was at the consulate dead on time, Mr Gaddis had his secretary to greet me and take me to the consulates office on the forth floor , not long after Mr Gaddis arrived, and asked how may I help,,,,, on that question alone I knew this was going to be another waste of my time, this man has or should i say, should of had messages from the cairo embassy ie my web sites or at least messages to say i had problems getting my money from the sheihk,
I was in regular contact with Ehab until the attempted murder on my person last June. what happened at that last meeting was also e-mailed to the right honourable Dominic Asquith british ambassador to Egypt, and no one from my embassy has even made contact with me.
not to worry. I brought Mr Ehab Gaddis up to date and maybe they are now going to do some thing, but i am not putting much faith in them not after what has happened over the past 6 years,
back in the flat i get to read the internet on how this army is still lying to the people. maybe I am off the swings but sill on the roundabout
several times they have said nothing wrong with the old bugger. but he is too ill to go to jail, must be kept in a hospital of his choice.
this or any other hospital in Egypt was good enough for him back in June 2001, me I cannot even get to see a doctor not seen a doctor since the day of the attempted murder,

Egypt’s military rulers deny Mubarak amnesty plans

CAIRO – Egypt’s military rulers denied local media reports they plan to grant amnesty to deposed President Hosni Mubarak following a wave of popular criticism and calls for new protests.
The denial, issued late Tuesday, followed unconfirmed reports that Mubarak would be pardoned in return for an apology to the nation for any wrongdoing and would also hand over his assets. The reports claimed the ousted leader would release an audio recording appealing for amnesty.
The statement by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces said the country’s judiciary has the sole authority in Mubarak’s case.
The media reports sparked a wave of criticism and prompted calls for a “Friday to Reject the apology,” rally in Tahrir Square. Several youth groups warned that granting amnesty to Mubarak would spark a new revolution in Egypt.
Calls also spread on Facebook and Twitter for rallies on May 27 under the banner, “I have not felt the change, I am going back to Tahrir,” referring to the central Cairo square that was the center of the protests that brought down Mubarak. They reflected disappointment with the way the military council, which took over from Mubarak, is running the country.
Mubarak stepped down on Feb. 11 and transferred power to the council after 18 days of a popular uprising. He has been in custody in a hospital since last month over allegations of killings of protesters and corruption.
Mubarak’s 70-year-old wife, Suzanne, was released on Tuesday after she relinquished assets and property valued at some $4 million. The move aimed to settle corruption allegations against her, but it was unclear whether she still faces trial.
Mrs. Mubarak was hospitalized over the weekend after she fainted and complained of chest pains during interrogation. She had been expected to be transferred to a women’s prison after medical treatment.
Anti-corruption prosecutors have claimed that Mubarak’s wife has millions in bank accounts in Egypt and owns a villa where she and her husband lived. It is not clear how much money the Mubaraks may have abroad. Some estimates range into the tens of billions of dollars.
Many Egyptians have criticized the ruling military council for being reluctant to restore security while cracking down violently on peaceful protests and sending thousands of civilians to be tried by military courts.
Most recently, a 17-year-old youth was sentenced to death by a military tribunal on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault of a young woman. The sentence was condemned by the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, which called it “deeply troubling” and called for it to be overturned.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s largest Islamist group, the Muslim Brotherhood, announced it had officially applied for political party status. The party will be active starting June 17 unless the Committee for Political Parties issues an objection.
A top party official, Mohammed el-Katatni, noted that 978 women and 93 Christians are now among the party’s founders — an apparent attempt to show the group’s moderate stance following previous assertions that women and Christians are not eligible to run for the presidency because that would violate Islamic Sharia law.
The group also appointed Rafik Habib, a Coptic Christian, as deputy party leader.
“The presence of Christians among the party founders gives practical evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood is meeting its promises and that Christians are brothers and the nation’s partners,” it said in a statement.
The once outlawed Muslim Brotherhood said last month that it would contest half the seats in Egypt’s parliamentary elections in September, sparking fears among secular political forces of a parliament dominated by Islamists.
The group is well positioned to win big in September. Having survived years of attempts by Mubarak’s regime to suppress it, the Brotherhood is the country’s best organized political force now that the ex-president’s ruling party has been disbanded.

Take this area this is one of the green patches on the temple square here the ladies can all huddle together some can have a piss without the tourist seeing but all eat nuts and spit the shell out, then the next lot of would be picnickers come along and do the same thing at one time we had lady shell pickers to clean the grassy areas but now they just clear the horse shit from the roads around the area,

in this grassy area one can see the dug out piss holes. the area does not smell all that bad as the grass gets watered every 4 days,,” that’s inundated not pissed on”,

not feeling too well today I just went for a short walk around Luxor temple this time of day 17.30 I had time to get some shots of the sun setting through the temple pillars. but first I had to pass all the human toilets. here in full view of tourists the carriage drivers get rid of what’s in their belly . just a few yards from the mosques and ancient places, the first toilet is in the open,

well its a first I actually got my money back from Thomas cook branch in luxor Egypt.
wonders will never cease just goes to show how in the right they were over this matter of telling lies.
and yes it was Qatar airlines who cancelled the flight, the only bit if truth in the whole saga,
this money will be put to one side as soon as my court case is finished I will be out of this country and back to Wales.
at least there I will find some honesty, I know in a few weeks the pain of arthritis will start again and I will be back in a wheelchair,
I just cannot cope with all these liars its as if they tell the truth the whole of Islam will come crashing down,
and there in the security of my homeland I can write the truth about this hell hole they call Egypt,

one thing I will miss is being able to walk in the sun every day, I will miss the sunsets and birdwatching,

another 4 hours spent in the waiting room of the guvorner of Luxor’s Office. I saw this photo hanging on the wall where once a photo of the young president Hosny mubarak hung, rather a pun” as some say he is going to hang from the neck until dead for crimes committed against the people.
but like this photo its very nice on first glance unlike the people who come to visit the guvorner I see the flaws in this photo its not real just like Egypt is not real and full of lies, take a good look at the photo its like a game of spot the difference but this is in one photo. this is a bottom half photo of the cornish (promenade)taken from the new winter palace building at about 12 noon. this building was taken down in 2008. the sunset is also a real photo. but the sun does not set in the south here in luxor the sun sets in the winter at 40 d north west in June it sets behind the Valley of the queens at 90d north west. but its a rather pleasant photo much better than the previous one hanging there. while admiring the view of the nile and thebes mountain range that’s home to over 100 tombs and temples I could reel them off as most I have visited and photographed,you can see them or some of them on this link apart from the new tombs unearthed over the past 3 years after the demolition of the tomb robbers houses, not that the tombs are worth visiting all they are now are holes in the ground thanks to the incumbency of the great Dr Zahi Hawass, allowing 50 years of desecration of these tombs. and to my mind Hawass was nothing more than a tomb robber, harsh words \i hear you say after all Zahi did for Egyptology corruption is corruption no matter what colour its painted, and it seems the corruption is still here he gets a year in jail for land theft and another year for letting space in the museum but has been made head of antiquities, how is he going to do his job from a prison cell.
here my problems have come to another door, well the same door but this time the door should have been opened as it was the army general Mohamed . who wanted a word with Mohamed / sheikh.

1st MAY.2011, 21.00, At this very minute i should be in Doha flown there on flight no QR 517 that’s Qatar airways 517, there I had to wait 2 hours for my connection flight to Bali Denpasar airport is where my daughter was going to meet me off the plane and we were going to spend a few days together its almost 10 years since I last saw my daughter, but thanks to Thomas cook staff here in Luxor Egypt my plans have been scuttled mainly by lies, 5 days ago quatar air had cancelled the flight QR517, but Thomas cook did try and phone did come to look for me , but I gave them the wrong mobile number and they could not find my address. lets start with the mobile no. I can never remember my no, so I have to look it up in my phone directory first I ask for the number I need to ring .. dail the number so by magic my phone no is implanted to the mobile I need to contact and all I need to do then is press memorize and that number is stored and vice versa he then asks for a name and presto we have each others phone numbers, cant be to many tony in luxor now can there , WOULD HAVE A REAL JOB FINDING MOHAMED YES
a very angry Tony on arriving at luxor airport finds out about the cancellation of a flight he had booked, and phoned Thomas cook Mustafa answered the phone and blurted out his lies, and I was getting more and more angry so rather than him making a fool of himself and more to the point umwaa. I walked out of the airport . with some very bemused police I had just entertained with my broken Arabic questions , they must have thought the stupid man had come a day or two to early. realizing my mistake I left the airport terminal in a hurry to save any more embarrassment . 30 le to the airport from luxor so I flagged a taxi down and another one came stopping with screeching brakes. he jumped out of his vehicle and started shouting at the driver I had stopped, me i was off down the road, bollocks to more hassle . i intended to walk half a kilometre and get a service bus that will cost 1 le into the city centre, then this other screeching of brakes. jump in he said this car was first in line, 30 le i said luxor centre , OK he said , then as if by magic this taxi driver had lost his English where go he asked. after 8 years I know the game, and its time to play games back.
as the driver turned to take the longer 100le route to the centre of Luxor. all was nice and quiet not been on this route for a long time so enjoyed the scenery
not in any hurry to get back and have a face to face with the liar from Thomas cook, this route is about 10 k longer than the direct route to the centre of Luxor. so i knew there was more agro coming from this driver. on arriving at the Isis hotel that’s 2 kilometre from my flat. the driver again asked where i go. well i said is this the centre of luxor. yes it is. the new governor of luxor has moved things about has he is he another samir faraq, i asked. the only thing the driver understood was samir faraq,
he is in jail I was told in Arabic, yes i know, you should also be in jail , I said. OK where you go , HANY WAHIB SHOP, YOU KNOW HANY WAHIB SHOP OH YES” HE SAID.
AS WE HEADED INTO THE CENTRE OF TOWN WHICH WAS A DIRECT ROUTE TO MY FLAT HE MADE ANOTHER TURN TOWARDS THE STATION.
NO POINT IN GETTING CROSS ITS JUST WHAT THESE PEOPLE LIKE, MAKES A MEANING TO THEIR BORING DAY. AFTER A FEW MORE TURNS WE ENDED UP BY THE COPTIC CHURCH. NOT HERE I SAID HANY WAHIB SHOP NEAR THE TEMPLE ENTRANCE. AS WE GOT TO THE ROAD THE NEAREST ROUTE TO THE AIRPORT, THIS BUGGER WAS ABOUT TO TURN RIGHT HEADING BACK TO THE AIRPORT, NO NOT kARNAK TEMPLE. REMEMBER i ASKED FOR LUXOR CENTRE 30LE.
YES HE SAID , well this is luxor centre as I got out of the car a making sure my bag was also out I gave him the thirty, 100le he shouted as i slammed the door shut, goodby

what’s with all these fukin lies mustafa, what with sheihk tyeb the judges, lawyers and police lying its enough being lied to without a travel company such as Thomas cook lying, you can save all the lies for those first time tourists , But Mr Tony not our fault, never is I said, so whose fault is it , Qatar , oh no i said you knew this flight had been cancelled days ago, do you not think I had a right to know before i got to the airport, and again the bastard lied, saying I gave him the wrong number, oh I said so why did you not send someone to my flat 5 minutes walk from here, You gave us wrong address, to make it worse he said , we send someone to your address but you gave wrong address, well I said opposite my front door there is a furniture painting shop outside there is a very nosy man all he does is sit guard to the shop. I asked him seeing you already said i give you the wrong address, anybody look for Mr Tony . no he said. and i said I gave you my address from a bank letter my visa card came in . how did the bank get my visa to me if its the wrong address, no answer came, he made a few calls. and said come back at 9.30 in the morning and we go see Qatar air office , first i said can you get me to Bali on the 3rd, yes he said another lie, there are no flights until the 4th, look it up before we waste any more time, I will be here at 9.00 just to collect my money plus compensation,
now he tried to get hold of his manager, while doing so I told Mustafa of all the problems i had,, You Mr Tony from the hotel west bank, yes I said. then he said a German lady has been looking for you can I give her your telephone no, then his manager phoned to say I can see him in the morning, well that will be nice I said and started to leave, can I give the German lady your number, Yes I said and left.,
as i said the T C office is just around the corner to my flat, just as I got in my flat put a cuppa on the mobile rang, its me she said, not in any mood to have friendly banter with some stranger. I just said” ooh that’s nice, the line went quiet so I said how can I help you. its me she said again , without going into what was said, this is the lady the rep from Thomas cook was on about, I wonder how she got my phone number, and all the way from Germany, Thomas cook had just said I gave them the wrong number.

Al-Azhar Sheikh demands apology from Pope Benedict/

CAIRO: The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb, reiterated his call for Pope Benedict XVI, head of the Roman Catholic Church, to officially apologize for insulting Islam. El-Tayeb said such an apology is a basic condition for resumption of interfaith dialogue between the two religious authorities.

El-Tayeb met with Michael Girard, Ambassador of the Holy See to Egypt, and refused to resume relations between Al-Azhar and the Vatican until the Pope apologizes for insulting Islam and Muslims.

El-Tayeb also said during the meeting that relations between the two faiths are normal, despite the fact that official relations between Al-Azhar and the Vatican are frozen.

El-Tayeb said Pope Benedict’s predecessor, John Paul II, loved Muslims and always sought to engage in dialogue with them, reported state news agency MENA.

Al-Azhar indefinitely suspended its interfaith dialogue with the Vatican in January 2011 in response to Pope Benedict XVI’s remarks on the status of Christians in the Middle East.

one secret police came and told me to leave. and I went to the checkpoint. here I was told to wait for the tourist police IE Ebd El Moshin. I waited for one hour and was quite incoherent. half an hour after the incident in the hotel Achmed came to the check point. to make a complaint.
as I now know the complaint was I had used a knife and attacked him, so why did the police not search me, Here I was being held by the police a knife wielding tourist. and no one searched me . neither did they try to retrieve my mobile and sim card,
on arrival at the police station at dier el medinet, they questioned Achmed first. an hour later I was questioned ;

A severe blow to the head several marks where I had been hit with a stick or similar, and another severe bruise to the buttock, then I was taken back to the police station. there I waited for almost 2 hours, before another vehicle was called to take us to the main police station in new Gurna.
no questions , just very stern police by this time I was feeling Quite faint and asked if I could go home to eat drink and get my medication. not now you can get them later, then a young police officer arrived he was told to get changed into civil clothes. when He came back he was given a pistol and told to hide it under his jacket. at 19.30 we left . in the cab of a local transport vehicle, this guy could only talk about how he would like to have sex with a white girl just kept on and on. apparently The builder paid his workers each day,,, at times, like when making concrete floors etc he had 30 men working ,,,,normally while bricklaying and plastering there was 4 men working, plus men paid to take the bricks and sand up to the working area floor, these men only worked if paid each day, and Mohamed only paid for the workers leaving Bedawi without money , Mohamed saying he will get the money at the end of the job, and just gave money to tie the builder over, Bedawi said he received one month but that was all.. each month he went for his money he was told the same story, Mr Tony have no money, well Mohamed wasn't lying, the painter has the same story he never got paid only for materials.
so I told Bedawi to go see the sheikh, then he told me things I already knew from an employee at the hotel called Walla, out of the 2400 months salary for 6 employees, Mohamed was taking half their wages for getting them a job in my hotel, all of these employees are his relations, Walla got the push two months before I had problems Mohamed said Walla was taking all the tips, I prove it He said, early morning there was only two staff in the hotel, send the new boy out to get groceries, when getting the money out of your pocket, drop this 20 le on the floor I have taken the serial no, and of course Walla picked the note up. Mohamed gave Walla instant dismissal.

Case: A Cairo court has called to end virginity tests on female detainees in military prisons after a case brought by protester Samira Ibrahim

An Egyptian court has called to stop the controversial practice of carrying out forced virginity tests on female detainees in military prisons.

The Cairo-based court made the decision to stop the tests after a case was brought by female protester Samira Ibrahim who was arrested during protests in Tahrir Square in March.

However, the head of Military Judicial Authority said in a statement carried by state news agency MENA that the ruling could not be executed because there was no decision to force virginity tests on detainees and if someone did it then it would be an individual act that required criminal investigation.

The military rulers who replaced deposed President Hosni Mubarak in February have come under mounting pressure from activists who criticise them for mismanaging the transition to civilian rule and violating the human rights of protesters.

This is the second case in a week where civilian activists have obtained a favourable ruling in cases involving the army.

'The court orders that the execution of the procedure of virginity tests on girls inside military prisons be stopped,' Judge Aly Fekry, head of the Cairo Administrative Court, said.

The case was filed by Samira Ibrahim, a woman who said the army forced her and six other women to undergo virginity tests in March after they were arrested during a protest in Cairo's Tahrir Square.

On Sunday, another civilian judge ordered the release of a prominent blogger whom the army had detained in October on charges of 'inciting violence and sabotage' during a protest by Christians.

An army official was quoted in May as saying the tests were carried out so that the military would not later be accused of having raped the detainees.

Ibrahim, who comes from the conservative southern Egyptian city of Sohag, was transferred to a military court four days after her arrest.

She received a one-year suspended prison sentence for insulting authorities, participating in an unauthorised assembly and breaking a curfew.

She filed a case with the military prosecution against the soldier who carried out the virginity test, and the military judiciary was now handling the case.

'We demand that those who committed this act be held accountable,' said Basma Zahran, a lawyer from El-Nadim Center for Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence who joined Ibrahim's case.

A military judicial official said last week that cases of reported forced virginity tests had been transferred to the Supreme Military Court and that military personnel accused of taking part in violent clashes and human rights violations against protesters would be prosecuted.

Islamists are widely expected to win a majority in Egypt's new parliament after threatening a crackdown on alcohol and bikinis.

The popularity of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party has left Egypts tourist industry fearing they will be elected when the parliament reconvenes next month.

The Brotherhood has said tourists can do without alcohol while ultra-conservative Salafist candidates have taken it a step further by demanding a ban on all alcohol sales.

She adds that separating beaches by sex and curbing public consumption of alcohol won't affect these new markets or even the old ones.

Such pronouncements are naive, says Elhamy el-Zayat, who chairs the Egyptian Tourism Federation and runs a company specialising in conference tourism.

He says he's talked with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists at length about their tourism proposals and why they won't work.

He believes that once the Islamists are in power and faced with the financial reality, they'll stop trying to make Egyptian tourists conform to a more conservative Islamic lifestyle.

'If they were not pragmatic, could they have collected so many votes?' Mr el-Zayat said. 'They were very pragmatic and very sly, we have to remember this.'

It began on August 3 but has since been bogged down in procedural matters, including a demand by lawyers for the victims that the presiding judge, Ahmed Rifaat, be removed.

That request alone took a separate court about three months to rule on.

Another Cairo court on Thursday acquitted five policemen of charges of killing five protesters during the uprising in the capital's district of el-Sayedah Zeinab last January and February.

The court said three of the defendants were not at the site of the killings while the other two fired against protesters in self-defence.

Also on trial are the ousted leader's former security chief and six top police commanders.

Gamal and Alaa, who also stand accused of corruption, were brought up in the Heliopolis district of Cairo.

Gamal went on to become a banker in London until returning to Egypt in 1995. He climbed up the ranks to lead an influential government committee which instigated liberal economic reforms.

Alaa did not assume such a public role, but was alleged to have used his father's status to become immensely rich through corrupt business enterprises.

The acquittal of the police officers in el-Sayedah Zeinab and the relatively long time the Mubarak trial is taking before even starting to deal with the core of the charges against him have led many activists to brand the proceedings a farce, organised by the generals who took over power when the longtime leader was ousted.

The generals are led by Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, Mubarak's defence minister for the last 20 years he spent in office.

Benetton has been forced to pull an advert featuring a picture of Pope Benedict XVI kissing a top Egyptian imam on the lips.

The image showed the pontiff kissing Sheik Ahmed el-Tayeb, an imam from a pre-eminent theological school of Sunni Islam.
Al-Azhar suspended interfaith talks with the Vatican earlier this year after Benedict called for greater protections for Egypt's minority Christians.
The picture of the pair was posted on the clothing company's website and posters featuring the kiss were briefly displayed in Milan, New York, Paris, Tel Aviv and Rome.
It was among various pictures of political opponents kissing created for Benetton's campaign, titled "Unhate".
They included Barack Obama and Venezualan leader Hugo Chavez, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and the Israeli and Palestinian leaders Benjamin Netanyahu and Mahmoud Abbas.
The company said the adverts were aimed at fostering tolerance and "global love" but it prompted a quick reaction from the Vatican.
Spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi called the picture an "unacceptable" manipulation of the Pope's likeness and said it offended the religious sentiments of the faithful.
"It shows a serious lack of respect for the Pope," he said, and he warned that the Vatican was studying measures to protect the pontiff's image.
Shock ads have long been part of the company's publicity strategy, with previous campaigns featuring death row inmates and people dying of aids.
The company said the images were "symbolic images of reconciliation - with a touch of ironic hope and constructive provocation - to stimulate reflection on how politics, faith and ideas, when they are divergent and mutually opposed, must still lead to dialogue and mediation".
In a statement following the Vatican's complaint, it apologised and said: "We have decided with immediate effect to withdraw this image from every publication."

that meant going back to see the sheikh in Cairo, there in his office on the 28.6.09 he told me to see him in his home in Gurna on the 28th of August where he said he promises to finish my problem.

none would help even though I had court orders to go back to my home,
as I arrived in the hotel the doors where open but there was no one about, so I proceeded to go up to my room that is situated to the rear of the first floor. as I was on the first flight of concrete steps Carima the wife of Mohamed Awad saw me and started screaming . Tony is here. then mohamed Awad who sleeps on the ground floor on the base of the stairs appeared I GAVE HIM THE PAPERS THEN KARIMA TOOK THEM AND RIPPED THEM UP I took a photo of Mohamed then he ,,MOHAMED,, shouted I kill you you fuck then grabbed my legs and dragged me down 5 steps I banged my head and my buttock . while semi concious on the floor I was kicked several times. karima took my bag and emptied its contents on the floor and took my Htc mobile phone,mohamed took my camera and took the memory card out. as I got to my feet karima and mohameds mother Samira started hitting me with sticks as I moved from the bottom of the stairs into the foyer.
Achmed appeared in his underwear he never moved from the base of the stairs he was just shouting"you fuck just go I will kill you. then the Neighbours appeared and dragged me out of the hotel then brave achmed came out and started shouting the same as before,
one secret police came and told me to leave. and I went to the checkpoint. here I was told to wait for the tourist police IE Ebd El Moshin. I waited for one hour and was quite incoherent. half an hour after the incident in the hotel Achmed came to the check point. to make a complaint.
as I now know the complaint was I had used a knife and attacked him, so why did the police not search me, Here I was being held by the police a knife wielding tourist. and no one searched me . neither did they try to retrieve my mobile and sim card,
on arrival at the police station at dier el medinet, they questioned Achmed first. an hour later I was questioned ;

as I was writing my statement EBD Moshin asked what am I doing ? make it short just say how the women hit you them we can take to court, then I asked that I go to the hospital
as I was making the new statement they called a service taxi to take me and achmed to the hospital. ebd moshin also ordered a guard to accompany us, at this I asked "am I under arrest,
why would you be under arrest ;asked Moshin, I been arrested before and no one told my embassy" I said; and again he said no you are not under arrest.
at the hospital the guard stayed glued to me ; Achmed was allowed to walk about freely. after a few minutes Achmed was allowed to leave. now it was my turn to get examined. A severe blow to the head several marks where I had been hit with a stick or similar, and another severe bruise to the buttock, then I was taken back to the police station. there I waited for almost 2 hours, before another vehicle was called to take us to the main police station in new Gurna.
no questions , just very stern police by this time I was feeling Quite faint and asked if I could go home to eat drink and get my medication. not now you can get them later, then a young police officer arrived he was told to get changed into civil clothes. when He came back he was given a pistol and told to hide it under his jacket. at 19.30 we left . in the cab of a local transport vehicle, this guy could only talk about how he would like to have sex with a white girl just kept on and on. I was glad to have some space as we boarded the ferry, after getting off the ferry the sex machine said we take a taxi I said no, the court is just down the promenade then I went to my flat under much objection from the gun totting policeman. but nothing he could do as his orders were to get me to the court by 21.30. while in my flat I managed to get a message to my lawyer. through my landlord. even though I was being charged for assault with a deadly weapon, they said I was not under arrest, so there is no need to contact any one, I only found out what the charges where while in front of the Judge.
In the court We all of us were made to stand up, usually we sit then stand when the Judge is addressing someone, feeling quite faint I asked the Judge if I could sit after being on my feet in searing heat all day." SHUT THE FUCK UP" he shouted.. half an hour later I was up on a grievous bodily assault on the ARSONIST Achmed Mohamed Awad. even though the doctors said in the report Achmed had a superficial wound to his hand made with a blunt instrument.
one week later I was with the Sheikh making deals for my money back, one and the main part of the deal was that I the victim had to drop all charges against all the conspirators who swindled me out of my home and money,
two days after the deal I was called in front of the corrupt Judges. first question
Why you make it bad for us?
so I told him. about all the corruption The lawyer had spun in this court.
?what was the reason for the judges to see me.
By taking my case in front of the sheik and making Mohamed Awad and his lawyer plus the judges liars. they wanted me out of the country,
this was geared by the lawyer Mustafa Atea because before the beating, I would not drop the charges against him. so in effect Mustafa was still in charge in this court. he had the backing of Sheihk Abru nasser + one of the elders.The reason I went to the hotel Because when Sheik MOHAMED Tyeb called mohamed awad on his mobile to sign papers to had over land to me;- he said he was in Cairo and would not be back home for a week, hence the photos I took of him in the hotel, and the reason he did not make a complaint to the police, even though I tried to pull him out of the hotel, therefore he was the only one I touched not Achmed,
If he made the assault complaint to his friend Moshin, Sheihk mohamed would have known he lied and was not in Cairo. as soon as the lying neighbours came, he shut himself in his room,
he was also not in a fit state to go anywhere, as you can see this guy is a opium taker drug addict,

The dates I will give are in my head, as you asked for a summary of events the first date is, 3.3.06 the day I realized I was in a swindle.

First day after I found out I was in a swindle, I went to the tourist police on the east bank, they called Mustafa Atea and Mohamed in for questioning, they were released on the promise of paying me my money back the next day, the police never made any statements neither did they write any kind of note, this can be confirmed by the lawyer Methat,

THE FOLLOWING DAY NEITHER MUSTAFA OR MOHAMED TURNED UP WITH MY MONEY,
I WENT BACK TO THE POLICE STATION AND MADE STATEMENTS,
MOHAMED HAD SWINDLED ME OUT OF £38.800,00 , ONLY PROVEN ON STATEMENTS MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ,
I COULD NOT CLAIM THE £20.000.00 FROM THE SALE OF WORKSHOP TOOLS AND THE B M W CAR. AS THIS WAS BROUGHT OVER IN CASH TO PAY THE BUILDERS, OR SO MOHAMED SAID,
*MUSTAFA WAS CHARGED WITH TAKING 500LE TO TRANSLATE THE ARABIC PAPERS INTO ENGLISH.
THE OTHER CHARGE WAS HE MADE A LEASE CONTRACT, NOT LAND CONTRACT,
MOHAMED AND MUSTAFA WERE ENCASERATED FOR 4 DAYS BEFORE IT WENT IN FRONT OF THE PROSECUTION JUDGES, THEY SENT THE CASES TO COURT THE FIRST HEARING WAS ONE YEAR LATER,

3 WEEKS AFTER THE FIRST PROSECUTION HEARING , MOHAMED AND HIS BROTHER ACHMED STARTED TO GET ME OUT OF MY HOME, FIRST THEY TURNED THE ELECTRICITY AND WATER OFF, I REPORTED THIS TO THE TOURIST POLICE AND NOTHING WAS DONE THEN THE ROOF WAS SET ON FIRE, ONLY PERSON IN THE HOTEL THAT EVENING WAS ACHMED THE BROTHER. THE NEIGHBOURS WERE PAID TO SAY THEY SAW US DRINKING AND SMOKING ON THE ROOF, THE FIRE INVESTIGATION PROVED WE DID NOT MAKE THE FIRE, THE POLICE PUT IN A REPORT THE FIRE STARTED WITH A SPARK FROM THE SUGAR OR SIMILAR FIRES . THERE WAS NO FIRES THIS WAS THE END OF SUGAR SEASON IT WAS CHAMASIN WIND TIME ,

ONE MONTH AFTER WE LEFT THE HOTEL, I HAD A PHONE CALL FROM THE OWNER OF THE KELLANY HOTEL ASWAN, TO SAY SOME DOCTOR LEFT HIS BAG IN THE HOTEL. I SAID ITS NOT POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE HOTEL IS CLOSED, THAT’S WHAT THE POLICE TOLD ME, YOUR THINGS ARE SAFE AS WE HAVE CLOSED YOUR HOTEL ROOMS, THE DOCTOR PHONED ME BACK DESCRIBING THE ROOMS AND WHO WAS IN CHARGE , SO MY WIFE SAID GO TO THE POLICE, AS WE DID,, TAKE A CAMERA , THEY SAID PROOF THE HOTEL IS OPEN,
THE FATHER WAS WAITING WITH A STICK HE BEAT MY WIFE WITH THE STAVE AND I HAD MY FINGER BROKE PROTECTING HER, IN COURT I GOT TWO WEEKS JAIL THE FATHER GOT A MONTH. HE CLAIMED I HIT HIM IN THE TESTICLES.
MOHAMED HAD RENTED A HOTEL SEAWAVES IN HURGADA, TOLD HIS FAMILY DO NOT LET TONY OR HIS WIFE IN THE HOTEL, ALL THE POLICE STATEMENTS WERE LIES, THEY SAID I HAD NO CAMERA AND THEY SAID THE FATHER HAD NO STICK, EVEN THOUGH Achmed’s statement said he took the memory card out of the camera . Proof the father had a stick the weal marks on my wife and my smashed finger where I had to have the nail surgically removed and 7 stitches . On the first appeal they reduced the sentence to one thousand pound fine,
DURING THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OUT OF MY HOME, I HAD TO MOVE 3 TIMES MOHAMED AND HIS THUG FRIEND MOHAMED UNIS and co, THREATENED THE LAND LORDS , THESE MOVES COST ME ALMOST FIVE THOUSAND STERLING.
I had nothing Mohamed would only let me take my personnel things Clothing etc. out of my home even though it was under police supervision, I had to pay the police 200le to park the lorry outside my home. Mohamed followed the lorry to find out where I lived, and threatened the land lady,
During the first year out of my home I had been arrested twice the police did not even inform the embassy, not that the embassy could do anything anyway,
In June 2006 I was told sheik tayeb can solve the problem, then all I wanted was the money I could prove back, £38 800. He asked if I wanted the home or my money. Take the money he said as the home will be coming down soon ( making a large roundabout in maroor) he then ordered Mohamed to pay me back £12,000.00 every year for 3 years, Mohamed refused and the sheikh told me to go back to the Luxor court,

The first court hearing may 2007.
Mustafa produced the English rent copy. Did not give it to his lawyer he took it out of his inner coat pocket and gave it direct to the judge,
The judge flashed the papers in my face asked is this your signature, I said it looks like my signature, and dismissed the case until the signatures could be proven, first I had to go to Cairo Port said road court to get them translated to Arabic,
weeks later I was told by my lawyer to go pick the rent papers up from the court get them stamped and take them to Cairo, as I was reading these papers half of which I could not read, Mustafa pushed pass me to go to see his uncle who was chief Clerk for the judges hassan atea [deceased]
On the way out I asked him which child wrote this contract, he hit me full in the face my false teeth got dislodged by the time I came to my senses Mustafa was on his way out but there was so many people in the allyway between the courts he was slowed down when I caught up with him, I asked what’s your problem he leaned in my face saying nothing you can do in this court you are not a muslim , and I head butted him he then pushed me over and I fell over some convicts sitting on the floor he then ran out down the stairs,
I reported this to the duty police down stairs as I was leaving the court , he told me to go to the police who were now in their new office by the train station, I told the general about the incident but did not make a written complaint because he said no point just make more paperwork and more time for you in court. Mustafa also went to the police station made a complaint I hit him three times in the face in his place of work. He also stated I hit him with a big ring on my finger, knowing this would get me jail time. I week later I was called in front of the judge, first he asked can I see your hands, then after some questions, he said “halas“, no statements from me nothing so I was under the impression they had seen through Mustafa’s devious plan,
WHAT HE DID WAS GO OUT PAY SOME THUG TO BEAT HIM IN THE FACE WITH A RING TO LEAVE MARKS, HE WENT TO HOSPITAL FOR REPORTS THEN WENT TO THE TOURIST POLICE, WHY NOT THE CRIMINAL POLICE.
NEXT THING I WAS IN THE CRIMINAL COURT BEING CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL ASSAULT, RECEIVED 2 WEEKS JAIL, THIS WAS AND HAD TO GO TO THE CAIRO APPEAL COURT WHERE IT WILL BE DEALT WITH IN 5 TO 10 YEARS TIME, ALSO WITH THESE ASSAULT CHARGES MOUNTING UP , IT WAS LOOKING VERY GOOD FOR MUSTAFA AND HIS PAL Mohamed Awad.
It took 3 years for these judges to decide the English contract was a forgery,
4 misdemeanours to Quena court,and 3 times the papers went to the forgery office in Quena after the second refusal of, oh we only check the signature, I knew the signatures were mine how they obtained them was through his uncle Hassan. And judge Shaddy, we need your signature please , I signed a paper then he said print writing. Then Mustafa made the English rent contract around the signature, proven the last time these papers went to Quena,
Fed up with the corruption in luxor court 1st of August 2009 two weeks before ramadan, I went to Cairo to see Dr Ahmed Tyeb at al azhir university,
Come and see me 28th and I promise I will finish this problem. Must not make it bad for Islam he said,
During this time I had my papers from the court saying I could go back to my home. I told Tyeb and he said not to make things bad stay out and I will finish this problem.
Then Mohamed wanted to give me one piece of the land in Ramla, 6 months later I was told that Samir faraq Had taken this land and sheiks tayeb ordered Mohamed to pay £40.000
I was ordered by Sheihk Mohamed to take all the court cases out of the court.
This was a Sunday next day, Mustafa now had a problem as he had not released power of attourney , this was signed in the court as licence for beer for the hotel, saying sorry Mr tony Cannot get a translator for the contract, two hours later He asked to sign my hotel papers saying trust me mr tony I am your lawyer,
So where did Mustafa go on Sunday instead of meeting me and my lawyer in court . He went to see his pall Judge Shaddy who had recently moved to Cairo , 15 days latter he came back and we all had to meet in the court. First and it seemed most important was to take Baba Awad off the months Jail sentence, then the other cases, making sure all the charges against Mustafa was dropped,
The same evening we went back to the Sheihk to sign for my money,
Then came the bartering and the blackmailing, saying I will get 3 to5 years jail if I did not Sign.
You know about the attempted murder two weeks prior to the sheihks order, they said they had put 3 more assault charges in to the police, just like they did twice before.
Neither did I know the luxor court had found the English contract to be a forgery,
And this is the main reason Mustafa went to see his friend Judge Shaddy, during the time Mustafa was in Cairo I also had a call from my lawyer to say Judge Achmed wanted to see me , he asked why I made it bad for the judges on the internet, and with Sheihk Achmed, they wanted me out of the country before the shit hit the fan.
The sheihk making mohamed Awad and Mustafa liars means that these Judges did not do their job giving justice where its due,
And now with the cases out of the court and sheihk mohamed refusing to hear my complaints, it seems that he too has fallen into Mustafa Ateas corruption web,

58.800.00 sterling is what Mohamed received 2004 -2005 exchange rate was between 11 and 12 egp to one £
While I ran the hotel I was paying 8 500 le for staff and food, per month
the first 5 months of the hotel being open the polish archaeological team was paying 9000 per week food and rooms, 9 person @120 per day. I never received one penny of that money, or any other money from the hotel mohamed claimed he owed the builders money. When I was forced out of my home I saw the painter man in Luxor, and he was still waiting for his money, he also said bedawi the builder was still getting a monthly payment, so in effect all the money I gave mohamed only went to pay for materials, I then went to see a man who was building the Coptic church, I asked him how much would it cost to build my home the complete building with the land about 25 thousand sterling using the best materials to finish ie tiles and wc suites.
Over the months I was in the hotel the restaurant alone took 20thousand le per week and the hotel was full most of the time an estimated 20thousand per week. The hotel was opened January 2005 I got forced out in may 2006’
The hotel was reopened the day Mohamed Awad refused to pay Sheikh tayeb 2006,
With the money he made from the hotel he bought 14 carrat and one carrat in rahmla west bank.
In 2007 he sold part of my home to A Swiss woman took her for 30thousand euro. She was forced to leave Egypt as Mohamed had taken photos of her with young boys, and his police friends refused her entry into Egypt,
2010 2 weeks after sheikh Tayeb ordered payments, part of the deal in my getting the money (25 thousand le ) my camera memory card and mobile phone back, was if Mohamed sold any land or the hotel he had to pay me .he sold part of the hotel to a German his black-market artefacts dealer, Jurgen Engels,
So all in all from an estimate Mohamed has made well over one million from my home.
I want £50.000.00 compensation from the swindler for the beatings, my wife and surgery to my finger the attempted murder in June 2010. Plus all the money he made from the hotel and what he took from me.

Mustafa Atea , I want what I have spent from being out of my home £20thousand .
Plus £20 thousand for each case Forgery;; a lawyer acting for both parties and lying on the assault charge,
I know I can never get my bribery police money back so seeing Mohamed And Mustafa liked paying corruption money to the police and judges, I will call it quits and say these are out of court settlements,
And here is another nice bit about mohamed awad, I had six staff plus a gardener all mohameds family.
Chef had an autistic child and I paid him an extra 500 per month mohamed took half of their wages every month, tips where put in a jar and supposed to be divided each week for all the staff, Mohamed never gave any of it to the staff. then one wonders why the staff were stealing from the hotel.

why are there no tourists.

on a number of occasions I have been in contact with the british embassy, over A problem I have had for the past 5 years , each time I have phoned or e-mailed I have had the same response this is a judicial matter DO NOT BOTHER US, now I have been told by an army general my problem lies with you, now the corruption is finished here in Egypt,
he also said we do not want to hear any more bad things about Egypt now we are trying to make the country better,
Richard fielder was my last contact, I know he has left. but he must have had a secretary so she will have all my past correspondence but will not have the lies I was told when I visited my embassy three years ago. after waiting one week in Cairo for the return of Mr Fieldman who was I was told due in his office
on the next wednesday, rather than go back to Luxor I obted to see a few sights in Cairo and stayed at the cheap Cleopatra hotel opposite the Museum and convenient for the embassy, 7.30 on the wednesday I phoned the office and the girl answered;- he has just come in. so 15 minutes later I was in my embassy’ filled a form in and waited patiently, how may I help you Mr Roberts the lady behind the glass frame asked. as if she did not know . Mr Fielder I asked, he is not here today;- vanished has he, she is the girl who said he has just walked in only one hour ago.

i had an appointment to see brigadier mohamed at 15.00 today this man is the highest officer here in luxor, . or was it because he told me the wrong time, I know that the local tourist police office is closed from 3 till 9 this evening, ah well will have to phone him again later, he did tell me this morning he was busy with all the problems they have in Cairo.
One week ago today I met Khaled the new guvorner of luxor again, he put me in contact with the brigadier, he in turn said,, he will see sheihk tyeb that evening and will phone me at nine the next morning, just be patient I thought , so i sent the general a text message saying,,, are you another who has come to tyebs closed door, during the course of the next few days I tried phoning but each time the phone was cut off, meaning he knew who was calling but closed his phone,, this morning I managed to contact him, and he said call to see me at 15.00 and we will go and see the tourist police. but again he never showed neither is he answering his phone. its what i would call blanking someone, saying things to keep me quiet, the same thing has happened over and over again during the past 6 years, sheihk mohamed tyeb is well versed in this blanking. he has done it more than 15 times , so where does it leave me, all i can do is blog and hope someone high in office like The justice minister, Abdel-Aziz al-Gindi hears of my fight against injustice, ,

Egypt’s government has promised justice after a clash between Copts and Muslims which led to a church being burned down.

Egypt‘s transitional government moved quickly to defuse tensions after Muslim-Christian clashes in Cairo left 12 dead and cast a cloud over hopes for peaceful post-revolutionary change.
Angry demonstrations erupted in the capital after a Coptic church in the Imbaba neighbourhood was burned down on Saturday night. Military police separated opposing camps at one protest reminiscent of the dramatic events that overthrew the regime in February.
Fighting broke out over rumours, which turned out to be false, that a Christian woman was being held inside a church and prevented from converting to Islam.
Essam Sharaf, prime minister of the military-backed government, postponed a visit to the Gulf to convene an emergency cabinet session, and announced compensation payments for the dead and nearly 200 injured as well as strict implementation of tough new laws banning gatherings outside places of worship.
The government, sensitive to mounting alarm about deteriorating security since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak in February, also rushed to announce that all 190 people arrested would be tried in military courts. The justice minister, Abdel-Aziz al-Gindi, pledged to “strike with an iron hand all those who seek to tamper with the nation’s security”.
Imbaba, a poor neighbourhood in the north-west of Cairo, was quiet but tense as night fell. The main al-Wahda street was blocked by armoured cars and patrolling soldiers – trusted far more than the police, who were discredited during the revolution.
Witness described how several hundred Muslims massed outside St Mina church demanding the woman be surrendered. Gunfire was heard and stones and petrol bombs were thrown before the army and emergency services were able to bring the situation under control. A second church was burned down.
Copts, who marched last night to the state TV station, called for national unity but blocked roads and raised tensions.
Egyptian media described the Imbaba attackers as Salafis – fundamentalist Muslims who want the imposition of sharia law. The Salafis, often with links to Saudi Arabia, are seen as having become more visible because internal security is less repressive now than before the revolution. It is also widely believed that elements of the Mubarak regime are encouraging them.
“It’s the previous regime that is responsible for this,” one distraught resident told reporters. “We demand that the higher military council punish all those responsible for this crime,” said George Ishaq, a pro-democracy activist. “This is a crime – not sectarian strife.”
The incident was condemned by the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s main Islamist grouping. “We should crack down on that violence and not let those people ruin what we achieved in the January revolution,” said a spokesman, Essam el-Erian. “The Imbaba incident clearly shows that there are some people who are still working behind the scenes to ignite sectarian strife in Egypt.” Erian echoed popular feeling in suggesting that attacks may have been encouraged by members of the now disbanded National Democratic Party, which ruled Egypt during the Mubarak era.

Mohamed ElBaradei, former head of the UN nuclear watchdog and a presidential hopeful, called for “urgent measures … to combat religious extremism and intolerance before Egypt slides into the dark ages”.

Salafis demonstrated in front of the US embassy in Cairo last week after the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
Last month 13 people died in similar Muslim-Coptic clashes in another Cairo neighbourhood. Copts make up about 10% of Egypt’s 80 million people.
Over the weekend, democracy activists held a conference to discuss the future of the revolution in advance of landmark parliamentary elections planned for September. The Muslim Brotherhood boycotted the event, saying that the priority was to change the constitution for the post-Mubarak era.

Sphinx head uncovered in Luxor

I am not a reporter or a news commentator. if you do not like what i write go to another blog but as you will find there are no blogs on the truth in Egypt it annoyed me to see this 3500 year old site being dug up by earth removers, under the blessing of our great minister of antiquities Dr Zahi Hawass. 4/3/2011 now he has stepped down who will get blamed for all this destruction of antiquities?????
today the 13th January 2011 , The almost complete head of one of the sphinx from the avenue that goes from Luxor Temple to Karnak Temple was unearthed,
these date back 3500 years and are a major find here in Luxor,

The Head is almost complete.... since the revolution the head has gone missing,'.

and today the 16th feb .after the unrest here in Egypt this head has disappeared,

this one was also found but in 3 pieces,

the two pieces were dug up quite close together

This site is just behind the Coptic church here in Luxor the whole three kilometre of the avenue is now dug up this and three more holes are yet to be explored. they , the ministry of antiquities know that this is a major dig to uncover Egypt,s antiques but the whole 3 kilometre was dug up by large excavators taken away by the 50 ton lorries and dumped on landfill this area where they are now is being explored by hand, in the first day of digging they find these two pieces , they say there was once 1000 sphinx along this avenue, so why did they dig so deep by machine, and where are the rest of the sphinx,
one day we will have another Dr Zahi Hawass digging in the landfill, claiming he has found another avenue of the Sphinx,
I have been watching this dig for the past 4 years, and all I see is a slap dash way to do things no care is taken in what they dig out or rebuild, and we have the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities,shouting at the rest of the world to take care of Egypt’s treasures, the Obelisk in Central park has come under threat to be taken back if its not looked after, is it in a worse state of repair than the one here in Karnak Temple,click on the image to see there are no hieroglyph on half of the artefact,

WAS Dr Samir Faraq the only bad boy in luxor, I fear not there is no doubt he was corrupt, but he was not the only one. some sheikhs and head of villages got colossal amounts of money to put street lighting in the villages, some got money to build unneeded bridges across the canals, millions of Dollars have been squandered some sheikhs did quite well soon after receiving monies these sheihks were turning up at the begging bowl in new cars at the new office in Awameia, this office got the brunt of the destruction during the recent riots. as the people knew it as Samir’s office, who were the kingpins distributing this new found wealth???, question is, ARE THEY above the law .

looks like they are going to build a four lane motorway with all this land they have stolen

the stagnant pool this road I am standing on is built on Nile land causing the Nile water to stop filling the reed beds and pools most of the fish in this pool have died from toxic pollutants from the banana island/ Awameia land fill area that I asked the Governor of luxor to stop filling even gave him photos of the toxic waste but he did nothing,

I IN 2009 sent an email to the minister of the environment but my mail was returned as spam.

the farmers house he lost half his home and 2 x 300meters of arable land to the road widening and the widening of the bridge,

they also built a control room for security on banana island land,

this is a village not a resort with single floor dwellings.

This is a friend who often took me around the island to photograph birds. one year ago the police put a stop to any fishing or boats going on this stretch of water, now I can see why.

today security tried to stop me going down to the bridge, but as you can see I went on Banana island land to the bridge to take photos and I went on the bridge until security appeared on the Island end of the bridge, what is wrong what are they afraid of?? and a rather good photo of my friend the fisherman.

Luxor is getting to be the shit hole of Egypt this hole was dug as a continuation of the wall to the avenue of the sphinx not 200 yds from the main Temple of luxor now its being filled in with unwanted garbage ie what is not of any value , so its mainly sand and animal shit,.

here opposite the temple entrance in my block we have more rubbish this has been here for a few days and attracting a lot of flies, i suppose bad food tastes better than horse shit and gives the flies a varied diet.

horse drivers heaven the hose shit collected in the sacking can just be tipped out some he will put in the street trash bin, not much room for any rubbish.

garbage is collected as soon as the bins are full but only the paper plastic and cans will be sorted for the lorry the rest horse shit and sand will be collected in a few days and we knw now where that is tipped.this garbage bin is opposite the horse shit bin near the local ferry.

here the carriage driver can have lunch (kusherie )in the shade on his own private garden roundabout while his horse has to stand in the blistering sun.

these are the kids that harass the tourists; please give me money I am so hungry,

A farmer working the land gets on average 225 per month,Mc D beefburger coke and chips is 30 egp. so these kids can squander 90egp, 50 yards from here I get my lunch 2 fool and falafel with some meat 2egp , if i want chips that s an extra 1 egp,

lunch is over and the shoe sine boss needs his share of the money, so he can get himself some fool and falafel or kusherie at 2 egp.

I have never seen this man cleaning shoes all he does all day is go around the beggars. and try to exchange forged euros. paper and coins, once he makes an exchange he leaves the square before the person he has ripped off comes back he will then come back a few hours latter,these kids get so bored they are always fighting each other

: here we are near the place the tourists disembark from the buses, for most its their first taste or is that smell of the cultural centre of the world,here the carriages are strategically placed so the tourist gets a real stable feel and can get a hands on (feet in) experience of horse shit and piss, and if they think this smells wait until tomorrow when they can smell their own excrement as they find themselves on the pan for most of the voyage of a lifetime down the polluted Nile river, here they will find out that cleaning and cooking food no matter how nice it looks after the chef has finished , will give them a dhely belly as 90% of tourists have already found out to their discomfort, they also bathe some will clean teeth, in the polluted waters that is pumped direct on board , the good news is mineral drinking water is supplied but only after they purchase a bottle for ex amount, I paid 10 pound with my first meal on board, when I got back to my berth there was enough water i.e. 3 bottles for the 3 day journey, my journey was thoroughly enjoyable as I knew before hand about the water cleaned my teeth with mineral water, and laid off any veg that had to be cleaned before distribution on the plate, my photos of the nile journey are on my website.http://www.myegypt.co.uk/index.php?f=data_home&a=5 .; Nile pollution is on this page

many people take a trip of a lifetime in a hot air balloon over the area known as Thebes, some lucky ones get to look down at the Valley of the kings and queens even get to see the locals who sleep on their roof, and some get to glide serenely over the sugar cane fields. but all too often between December and May the sugar harvest season, they get an eye opener of a view or is that an eye watering view through the smoke of the burning sugar cane grass, some like the Chinese come ready prepared with smog face masks. the Muslim ladies will also be well prepared with the burka, not as if Muslim women would spend money on such an enjoyable thing as a balloon ride over world famous antiquities,,

Thieves stole around 1,000 relics from museums and archaeological sites across Egypt since protests against the government broke out in January, Egypt’s minister for antiquities Zahi Hawass said Sunday in a newspaper interview.
“We are investigating all the incidents to find the items. Up until now we have identified many culprits, criminals who were looking for gold or mummies and who lacked knowledge of the value of the items they stole,” he told Spanish daily El Mundo.
“They were not organised, they lived near the archaeological sites where the objects were kept. They would take advantage of the night to enter the archaeological sites and pillage,” he added. “A Roberts adds” there are no police on duty as we all know they are sulking because the corruption has stopped. so why would they apprehend a thief in the daytime never mind in the dark hours,
“About 1,000 objects were stolen, none of them major items. There is an inventory of everything and it will be difficult for the items to leave the country.”
no one had any problems before Mr hawass, never heard of parcel post? that is what the police said to me.
The inventory of all the items that were stolen during the uprising and the weeks of unrest that followed will be given to UNESCO, the UN cultural agency, Hawass said.
The tomb of Hetep-ka at Saqqara and the tomb of Em-pi at Giza as well as the Egyptian museum in Cairo, which houses most of the King Tutankhamen collection, were among the places targeted by thieves, he added.
during the riots 28th Feb, most of the looting of Jewellery shops etc was done by the secret police thugs, so maybe you should be checking them,
Hawass was named minister of antiquities last month. He had served as head of the Supreme Council of Antiquities and later became minister of state under ousted president Hosni Mubarak.
and this story is a load of bollocks, they had not finished the inventory of the cellars of the museum. they knew pre 25/1/11 many pieces had been pilfered at the time they claimed it was security staff. when asked how long will it take to make the inventory of the thousands of pieces in the cellars they said at least 2 years, so how come suddenly they can give the list of stolen items to UNESCO, the UN cultural agency as Hawass said.
Is the good doctor going to explain to UNESCO ” who put an order on the demolition of the tomb robbers houses in Thebes in 1972″,
where has all the carvings and wall paintings gone from the tombs they found after the demolition in 2009 the robbers had almost 40 years of unhindered theft /pillaging of the tombs and the two underground temples, not one wall or ceiling was found intact,

In 2006 I gave The police and Zahi Hawass a cd with several photos one being 18th dynasty part of a coffin, that was sold to a German named Jurgen Engels who also has a collection of 250 funery cones, nothing was done to retrieve these pieces of antiques, by hawass or the antiquity police of Luxor. two Ramases 111 statues were unearthed while excavating for footings for a house near Seti 1st temple in Gurna.
